The deck went up last Friday (except for the railings), so we hosted our first deck party on Sunday with a couple of friends. Sadly, it rained while we were there, and although it was warm during the day, the evening was cold, so the party had to adjourn to a local restaurant. Soon, however, we'll really be able to enjoy some relaxing evenings overseeing our estate from the deck! Today was up in the 60s, and when we went over to see the house after dinner, a roofer was still there putting on the shingles, taking advantage of the first really warm day of the spring.
The photos show Bob on the back deck on Saturday (his birthday!), and the roof partly shingled this evening. Note that the windows have also gone in already! In fact, the deck and patio doors are also in, but they have no handles, so we can no longer get out onto the deck. Uh oh!
